Unfortunately, my planned installation of these sway bar bushings on an '05 Aviator have been deferred because of a surprise party where I was given the opportunity to use the full extent of my profanity library while installing a new alternator (Explorer people - go ahead and snicker, you have the walk in the park with your 10 minute alternator replacement - the '05 has a coolant cross-pipe that requires removing the fan and clutch and shroud - not exactly "side of the road" repair).At any rate, bushings are next in line, and I took them out to ensure a perfect fit and easy install. They match up perfectly.This should be a walk in the park with a little PB Blaster on board for the old bolts an/or a breaker bar.The shop manual suggests replacing with new bolts, and as someone who has and hasn't done this on different replacement parts on the truck, I suggest you go with new bolts.Make sure any thread-lock from old install is out before re-installing. I wouldn't be opposed to adding a little thread-lock here just because it's a part that will bear some load and flex and vibration.Shop manual says to tighten to 68 ft-lb.Excited to get to do this in the next few days - relatively easy fix that will ultimately provide a much smoother ride. Those repairs are the most fun.These bushings look 100% up to the task - every bit as sturdy as the ones coming out, and having new bushings will be a treat. Also, adorable that your ride gets bright red underthings.FIVE STARS BEFORE INSTALL - 99.9% SURE IT'S GONNA BE FIVE STARS AFTER THE INSTALL.

My husband had these installed on his 1999 Ford Ranger pickup that he uses for hauling yard debris. The old ones were worn out. Our mechanic said the hardest part of the job was removing the old, dirty ones, and that once they were off, installing these was easy. He said it was a job that could easily be handled at home as long as you can get underneath your vehicle safely and you can get the old ones off (my husband wasn't able to even get the old ones to start to come off, which is why he took it in rather than doing it himself).My husband says these help the truck ride more smoothly and feel more stable. It doesn't get driven a lot or for any real distance, but these still gave it a more comfortable ride and made it feel more stable. They seem to be good quality, and all necessary installation parts were included.

This Code Red sway bar bracket and bushing kit was a great fit for my 2003 Explorer. I love that the parts are made here in the U.S.A. The quality is excellent, and the bushings are made with Santoprene rubber, which has a temperature resistance of -81F to +275F. The quality is excellent and I would buy them again.

Fit right on 04 Ranger and are better than the original ones, And make such a huge difference in handling and tire wear, And these cost way less than parts stores and one-third the price of factory, By far are these are the best choice

On the 2001-2005 Sport Trac, the sway bar is right up front and easy to reach. Nothing else to remove, and just 2 bolts.I replaced the entire front end on my Sport Trac last year, but the sway bar and components remain OEM, which is pretty good for an almost 20 year vehicle. But I decided it's time to replace. Also I once bought a vehicle with a failed sway bar - when the bushings got worn, the vibration caused the bar to crack elsewhere - and I obviously didn't want that to happen.I was able to do this in just a few minutes on ramps, without putting the vehicle on stands. I also gave the bushing a squirt of silicone lubricant before installing. A definite savings over the local auto parts store, and the ride is definitely smoother now. I suspect this could also help gas mileage. And I know its silly but I also like the red color, a little splash of red under the vehicle makes it look updated.

It was time to change out the bushings on my 2002 Ford.The Code Red bushings are a perfect replacement. I like that they came with the brackets and bolts, it just makes a clean update.The pieces look like they are quality made. I have no doubt they will last.For my situation they were an easy and quick install.I would recommend the Code Red bushings if you are looking to do a replacement.
