The description is stated as #45 or carbon steel. I have purchased real steel ones from the e store, the ones I received are anodized aluminum. A replacement has been requested, hopefully the replacements come in as steel.

They are nice anodized Pivot balls but they are aluminum not steel as described. Steel is magnetic these are soft aluminum

ad is a big lie. these are aluminum and NOT STEEL like it says several times in the ad. even answered my question as it being steel... now i wasted $ and stuck with these since the closest return shipping place is really far from me.... cant even contact seller...--pic is of the product next to a magnet--

It's good product does the job however the paint fades out making it loser after a while if you want to avoid this just paint it constantly if not buy brass no paint just brass color natural it looks good and actually more heavy but paint won't come off do to it been brass
