I received the webcam with a user manual, and a tripod. The tripod is small, measuring approximately 4 3/4 inches tall.According to specifications on page 3 of the instruction manual, the webcam has a 12 MP Sony IMX362 sensor with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and a 4.27 mm f/1.8 lens. It supports 4K resolution (3840x2160) at up to 60 FPS in MJPG format. The field of view is 79 degrees. It includes dual analog microphones with a 3-meter pickup range. It has a built-in privacy cover, and a red power indicator light near the lens.It is compatible with my Linux desktop. The USB-A 2.0 interface adheres to UVC 1.0 standards. Output resolutions vary between MJPG and YUY2 formats, with higher frame rates in MJPG (e.g., 1920x1080 at 60 FPS) compared to YUY2 (5 FPS at the same resolution). My webcam app lists 256x144 as the lowest resolution but in the manual it lists 192x108 as the lowest. The highest resolution I get in the webcam app under Linux is 3840x2160.The webcam works on 5V power through USB-A with a maximum current of 500 mA. It weighs 190 grams and works in temperatures between 0°C and 60°C.As the webcam has autofocus, I can use the webcam for quickly scanning QR codes. At the back of the webcam I see it’s made in China, has a sticker with the serial number, and I also see it has FCC and CE certifications.

I replaced my Logi 1080p with this camera, and it's doing an excellent job. My old camera started having a hard time staying in focus. This one adjusts in about a second and stays in focus, even as I shift around in my chair. It has a little softer lighting than I would like, but I know I can adjust this in video settings, so no big deal. The microphone does well. It's definitely recording louder and clearer than the Logi. However, it's not going to be as good as a dedicated USB microphone, which is a given when recording voiceover or vocals.Installation was simple. It's plug-and-play and works immediately. A built-in privacy cover is also excellent to have. That really should be standard on any camera for extra security. The tripod is another great touch. I really prefer looking into the camera instead of the screen to establish a true sensation of eye contact on video calls. The stand lets you place the camera between or in front of screens so you can still see the screens while talking directly to an audience. My only gripe with it is that I wish it were just a little taller.Overall, this is a great deal on a camera that performs very well

This Newline NewEye webcam is small, lightweight, easy to set up and offers good quality video. However, the audio is poor, where your voice sounds like you’re talking through a tin can. I find my external microphones – or even the built-in mic on my MacBook Pro – are much better sound quality. But the video is sharp and clear – really nice. It’s easy to set up – basically plug and play. I like the little privacy cover that allows me to turn off the video any time without having to hunt around for the video button on the computer. This cap also protects the lens from dust and damage when it’s being stored. I also like the autofocus feature. It’s lightweight, which makes it easy to hang on the top of my MacBook Pro.It comes with a little tripod, that can be adjusted at different angles, which is great. It’s small though – a little under 5 inches - and you can’t adjust the length of the tripod. So, overall, a good quality video webcam – but poor quality audio.

Having not owned a webcam in a good decade, I wasn't privy to the ones available on the market today, I just needed one for my desktop that looked decent and wouldn't break the bank. This was an affordable option offering high quality video with a built in mic and a dedicated stand to allow you to seat the camera wherever needed around your computer. The set up was quite easy, simply plug in and your PC recognizes the hardware. The video quality is really good and has an auto focus feature which makes you the centrefold. The built in mic is good enough and works great for zoom calls without needing an external mic like I had been using.Overall great value for the money, great picture, easy to set up and start using out of the box.

It's a decent camera with good picture quality. Microphone seems good as well. Worked out of the box with no drivers needed (nor are any available from the manufacturer). This camera isn't listed on the manufacturer's web site, so it must be a new model.I don't use a camera all that much anymore except for the occasional remote doctor visit, which is a bit of a pain to do on a phone. My laptop has a camera but it's not in the best position on my desk to use the camera, so I got this camera to put on top of my external monitors. My only complaint is that this camera is not compatible with Windows Hello. Apparently for Windows Hello to be able to do facial recognition it requires an IR-capable camera and this is not. In fairness, Windows Hello is not mentioned in the product description, so I'm not going to take away a star for that. The included tripod is nice, but I'm not sure I'd ever need it. You can find inexpensive tripod adapters for cell phones on Amazon, which might be handy when taking pictures for ebay listings and such with your phone. If you know you'll never use the tripod, you can get this camera without it for a lower price.
