By the 20 minute mark these are too dim even for nav lights. If one wants to do a quick 15 minute dawn or twilight flight they are probably fine. For anti-collision they are not fine. I knew this going in so I bought a different anti-collision strobe that lasts longer then my 4 drone batteries. So, these as navigation lights along with a different anti-collision strobe should be fine for most sub-250 recreational flyers (the name of the anti-collision strobe I have starts with a "V").Nav lights are certainly not required as long as one has an anti-collision strobe that meets FAA regulations but they are good to have for one's own personal use when getting an early start or enjoying a late day. As such, these are a bit of a cheap luxury and nice to have.Here's a tip for the weight conscious:Lose the big plastic enclosure, put a dab of epoxy on either side of the battery to secure it to the PCB, and attach the Velcro to the battery.

There are a huge choice of modes both flashing and steady in a rainbow of colours.They are brighter than I expected, and the battery seems to last around 60 to 80 minutes.

Very bright. Lots of options for colors and flash patterns. Lightweight and flexible mounting options.I'm using them on a Dji Mini 3 Pro so I can see it at a distance or when it's up high in low light and even in daylight, it works quite well within a few hundred feet. Turns out one is all I need for my purposes so I have three spares I can use for other things.Well worth it.
