These work well for a standard violin. On my vintage American - made fiddle they're a bit deep and contact the surface of the top, but the neck angle is a bit shallow on that instrument. Worked fine on a Czech- violin I restored

it is possible that I just got a bad one. I got a set of 4 fine tuners and tried one on the violin. There was enough wiggle in the part that holds the string that it one day, just slipped from under the threaded screw, so was not long controlling the pitch/tension of the string. So I lost the fine tuning action. it is possible that it was a problem with that specific fine tuner I tried

I couldn't use this tuners. Maybe it will fit other violin, I dont know, but for my violin they are to big and unproportional.

The parts are small but very finely made. It's very easy to install on violin. We feel it makes our violin even sound "louder" and "clearer".
