I have read extensively about re-foaming speakers but until now have never done it. I recently purchased two JBL J50 bookshelf speakers which worked but buzzed when you increased the volume to normal listening levels. The grills are fixed in the J50's so I took the back off of one of them and saw that the foam surround on the woofer had disentegrated. I re-foamed both speakers with this kit and now they sound great, amazing in fact for such compact speakers. The kit instructions were good and I supplemented them by viewing sever videos online that walked you through the whole process. I recommend this kit for anyone wishing to undertake a re-foaming project.
