This chalice and paten set was USED? Yeah, maybe once. Excellent condition. The barcode sticker on the paten, though, was annoying and required soaking. :-)

This chalice and paten is awesome ! Bought one for a priest friend and my pastor loved it so much I bought another for him. So now there both happy.

The Chalice and Paten I received is very nice and was as described. The Paten is very small and is designed for use with the wafer host. I use real bread so this Paten is now usable for me. Other than size, they are very nice and show very well. Well made and heavy so they do not tip easy. A good buy for a small group.

I was recently ordained and purchased this chalice for communing home-bound and hospitalized parishioners. Mostly, I'm very happy with it, the appearance is great, the size is perfect for my purposes, and usually, it feels solidly constructed.However, the whole thing is held together with a screw which runs up the stem and connects the base and the actual drinking portion. If something wiggles loose, which I hope has happened for the first and last time, it is a pain to put back together because that screw is a little short to be fully screwed in on either end, so some guess, check and revise is required to reassemble it.If you've got the money, there are probably smarter chalices to use than this one, but it gets the job done.
