After all the preparations to the affected speakers, and meticulously adhering the new surrounds, I found out I had a bad cone in one speaker that made it very fuzzy. So, this turned out to be a product which I cannot speak to durability after installation since I had to replace both 6 1/2” speakers in my SONY SS-TL4s

I had an outdoor speaker, which was installed in the ceiling. It was rattling and I took it down, found the foam was torn. I tried to look for new speakers that would fit in the opening, but could not. I then realized that the speaker I had was a Definitive technology dual driver speaker that originally cost $1100. I looked online if repair was possible and I found this product and accompanying videos. It really was quite easy. Pull off the old foam, use a screwdriver or something to clean up any residual foam, and then simply glue the new foam pieces. The speaker sounds great and I didn't have to make a new hole in the ceiling and I saved my $1000 speaker.

Quality material and glue. Easy to follow instructions. Be patient, follow the instructions and the glue cure time and you will have a brand new speaker when you are done. I fix all of my own stuff, this was my first speaker repair and I will definitely be repairing .vs replacing speakers going forward.

Follow the directions, remove all the crap from the edges before applying this one. Let it dry for a full day before using it and it sounds like new. Fixed the broken cracking noise 100%

The Foam surround on the center/rear subwoofer on my 2001 BMW Z3 had disintegrated, and the speaker sounded like shaking a couple loud, distorted maracas. Replacement speakers are hard to find and crazy expensive. Since the rest of the speaker is still in Good condition, careful replacement of the surround restored the speaker to like new functionality. It was a fun DIY project that took about 1-1/2 hours, and while it does require patience, it's well within the scope of anyone who's handy.
