Not impressed. They are just hard plastic stepping stones that look like plastic. There's no paint job to give you the illusion that it could be a real stone. As far as the hardness of the plastic, it seems to be made pretty sturdy. They seem like they would hold up under usual wear and tear conditions. If you don't mind the plastic look to them, they are a good choice.

I really like the concept of these for my birdfeeder area—it’s nice not having to walk directly on the grass all the time. They look good overall, but I did run into a few issues during setup.It seems like there may be a flaw in the mold used to make them. On every piece, one of the inserts wouldn’t fit properly due to extra plastic in the opening. I had to trim the plastic just to get the stake to snap in place. After struggling with three of the "stones", I gave up and used only five stakes per piece instead of six.Another thing to keep in mind: they may get very slippery when wet. We’re considering adding some tape to the tops for better grip, though that may take away from the appearance. Also, the stakes themselves are not very durable—several broke when I tried to reposition a piece. :(For now, they’re in the ground as best as they can be, and I’m still happy with how they function. Just know you may need to do a little tweaking to get them set up properly.
