Hard, but not impossible to thread onto the tubing. It helps to cut a very small slit in the end of the tubing so that you can kind of pinch the end smaller and shove it in. The really annoying thing about these is that they do not have a quick disconnect or swivel, so you actually have to pre-twist your hose and/or tubing in the opposite direction than what you need in order to twist it onto the hose connection. I didn't want to wait for a different one to be delivered so I went ahead and used them; they are holding so far without leaks, but I'll pay a little more and go for one that has either a swivel or a quick disconnect if I ever have to replace them.

Works very well except for one design flaw: The "tubing adapter" (the part the tubing actually goes through, and which locks the tubing in place) has no bevel on the surface where the tube enters. This makes it extraordinarily difficult to insert the tubing through the opening. To make tube insertion possible, I had to bevel the opening approx. 45-degrees for a 1/16" lip. Even then, tube insertion is a chore. Once the tube is inserted, assembly is easy, and the final seal is perfect.

Pressure regulation devices appear to work as advertised. Attachment fitting don’t fit my “old” 1/2” black pipe. The OD of pipe didn’t insert into outside of fitting and inside of pipe was too large for male insert even with steel screw compression applied.

I use drip irrigation to water my vegetable garden. However, water pressure from the faucet is too high for the drip or mini-sprinkler emitters. These Pressure Regulators work very well to reduce the pressure to allow my emitters to work effectively and safely. They simply screw on between the faucet and my drip line. Then, the water flows as it is supposed to. Since I have a number of different irrigation set-ups, it is great to be able to order these regulators as a multipack.

Yes, like a lot of irrigation parts, they are plastic, so don't expect them to be indestructible. But I have some plastic parts much like these running around here that have been in use for close to a decade. Valves have given me the most failures, in almost all brands...These work like they should. I'm adding timers to my drip/spray irrigation this year and needed more faucet adapters and pressure regulators so this was just what I was after. I hooked up a pair of these and they seem to work great.A couple things to note though: The faucet adapter is only two solid pieces (the regulator is one solid piece, as are most of the plastic ones you'll find). There is no spinning collar on the female hose connection. You need to first attach the female piece tightly, then unscrew the collar and slide it over your hose then make the connection. Like most of this style of fitting with lock collars, they really work best with the soft tubing, but if you're determined and strong-of-fingers, they WILL work with the rigid tubing (like the old Orbit stuff, I have a lot of that running around here). The images show "pre-installed washers", but the black ones in the faucet adapters fall out pretty easily. It's no big deal, just poke it back in, but don't do what I did and grab an adapter from the box and walk clear out to a flowerbed only to find your washer missing because it's lying in the bottom of the box. 2 of 3 had fallen out inside the box in shipping. The regulator washers seem to stay put better.Pleased overall. I will update if I find a way to break them!
