  • High quality professional snake catcher tongs, rattlesnake catcher & grabber, can also be used as a tool for key pick up, kitchen shelves, fishing, litter picker, and arm reach extender.
  • 60 inch is a professional length for a snake grabber, it is long enough for safety catching and handling snakes confidently. Ensures you keep a safe distance away to mange it.
  • Non-slip handle for durable use. The handle lock makes the snake tongs easy to store. You need to squeeze the grip tight enough and pull both ends of the screw forward/backward, the catcher will go to "lock/unlock status".
  • Unlike other sharp jaw of the snake tongs that is awkward to handle and easy to hurt the snakes, spring-loaded wid jaw for precise pressure no harm to snake, also works on small snakes.
  • Stainless steel material made the tool cheaper but more heavy and weak. That's why we chose the more expensive aluminum alloy material to build the body, it is guaranteed to last.

Some people go for the shorter versions of these snake grabbers, but I, not being comfortable at being in strike range, opted for the 60" length and am glad I did. I got my first chance to use it and the snake was decidedly unhappy about being bothered, lashing out. I'm reporting that the grabber performed admirably and allowed me to carry the unwanted visitor across the yard and flung over the wall. It felt sturdy and strong and I didn't have to worry about the visitor wriggling out to exact his revenge. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Bought it a couple of weeks ago to have on hand in case a snake gets into my dogs yard. We have had rattlesnakes and coral snakes in our yard on numerous occasions. Two nights ago a 4 foot Texas rat snake got in our house. My husband got the grabber and got the snake with ease. Snake taken outside!

Arrived in a huge box for such a small device. The box was 62 inches long by 12 inches by 12 inches and was mostly crushed, but the tool was in tact. Could have fit in a much smaller tube mailer of some kind. The tool is a strong aluminum design and light to handle but still sturdy enough to handle a critter of several pounds if needs be. Got it to handle snakes when needed, as our dog got bit in the foot by a cottonmouth in our backyard and we struggled to save his life for several days and spent $4000 on Vet bills. We have also used it to grab a possum and throw it back outside over the fence and it worked perfectly for that. Will be perfect for snakes if ever needed for that. Also bought animal bite prevention gauntlet leather gloves to protect hands and arms during use if needed. This device would be easily operable while wearing those types of gloves on also. Well engineered, constructed, and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Locking mechanism requires exceptional force to lock and does so only when the grasper is in the fully squeezed position with nothing in the jaws. I'm 6'4" 250 lbs... and an engineer... and I can barely, with all my might, turn the locking mechanism to the on and off positions and, again, only when the grasper is in the fully squeezed position with nothing in the jaws. It would be incapable of locking at all with a snake's neck enclosed in the jaws which defeats the locking mechanism's purpose all together... and it would require the user to manually and continually keep the grasper/jaws closed which, I can only imagine, would be very difficult and fatiguing to do with an angry hissing 6 foot rattlesnake on the other end.NOTE... I reached out to the seller yesterday using the "Leave seller feedback" tab and I will update this review with the seller's response if, in fact, I get one.FOLLOW UP: I never did hear back from the seller but I did request a replacement and the locking mechanism on the replacement WORKS AS ADVERTISED and thus, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this grasper even though I've yet to have a need to use it and hope I never do.

Great for what I need it for although it’s big and a lot to handle. Hopefully I won’t have to use it, but having it gives me piece of mind!
