I have a 2007 GMC Cierra 1500 that was stuck in 4WD. I must have spent hours reading on various fixes. I finally have mine working and I will share what I did. It may help, it may not!I think my problem started when I pulled something in low wheel drive. It seemed to take a long time to shift back to AWD which is where I typically leave the truck (I did shift in to neutral). My AWD did light up and I forgot about it. A few weeks later I noticed the front tires grabbing when I made a turn. A very hard grab and I took it home and parked it. I tried shifting in to 2WD but the light stayed on AWD. No matter where I shifted it stayed on AWD. So I tried all of the things I read.1. Check the ground. Nothing.2. Replace the actuator. Nothing3. Replace the switch. Nothing (returned)4. Replace the module. Nothing (that part is expensive and I was able to return)5. Replace the transfer case motor with this product. At first nothing. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer. Nothing. Decided to try to drive it. Put the truck in gear and some grinding noise. Truck wouldn't move. The transfer case motor must have moved the transfer case to neutral. I couldn't get the transfer case to react to any selections. I pulled the transfer case motor off, left the wire hooked up and shifted 4WD high. Put it back in and...It worked! Service 4WD message went away. One important thing I learned. The 4WD would disengage when I pulled the fuse. I wish I had known that sooner. I could have driven to a place that could have read the codes. But if it happens again I now know the temporary fix.I gave 4 stars because there were no directions. I almost gave up but decided to play with it and I got lucky. I don't know how long it will last but after a couple days all is working. In fairness to the seller this is clearly a 5 star price and if it holds up a 5 star product. I will let you know after a few months.

I didn't like that it took longer to get it. I did like that it fit and it works good.

Stopped working after a couple months. Only used 4x4 a couple of times during that period just to use it. Failed when I actually needed it 😒Some products like this have a 1 yr warranty but can’t find one on this one
