These are plastic on the outside with a metal plate on the inside. They do not fit on a 2005 Ford F150 as they do not push in far enough. They are very shiny. I know that 2005 was not listed as compatible so it is my fault. Lost one of my old center caps and found these—what a great match! Not only do they fit perfectly, but they actually look better than the originals. The chrome is bright, and they give my truck a refreshed look.
