This has everything you would need to look like a boat captain. It is a costume, and upon inspection, others will know this is a costume, which is what I want so as to not misrepresent a real boat captain. The pipe appears to be a fully functioning pipe for those extra fun parties. The tie is pretied with a slip knot. The hat came slightly squished, but after stuffing it with paper overnight it was fine.

I was supposed to get a Captain of a yacht costume that came with a yachting symbol on the hat as seen on the listing picture. Instead I received a Navy patch hat and the patch was half way falling off. Besides the mistake on the patch and the patch falling off partly, the rest of the hat was very well made.Items I received:1. Navy hat. Wrong hat but pretty good quality.2. A navy blue zip up formal tie. This tie is quite nice, it’s already tied and the adjustable zipper makes it easy to adjust on the collar.3.I received the correct size Small shirt which is made quite well. I like how the buttons are bigger and are adjustable at each side of waist to make the shirt bigger or smaller. The fabric is good too. There are some loose strings that need to be snipped but I don’t think that really effects the quality.4. Costume prop pipe. Very good quality.Missing Items:1. Where are the sunglasses?2. Where are the epaulettes for the shoulders?3. Where is the anchor bling brooch?I did take a star off for sending the wrong hat, a star off because my costume is missing the items I mentioned above and another star because I can’t use the costume now.I left 2 stars because they did send a costume and the pieces I got were very nice quality. I understand that sometimes mistakes can happen but a bummer that it happened right when I needed it.

I can finally live out my yachting dreams with this costume set! I'm super impressed with the quality and variety in this pack. It comes with a hat, lapels, uniform shirt and tie, aviator style sunglasses, a really cool wheel pin, and a classic pipe. I found the costume to fit well and breathe nicely (which is great, because you're usually sacrificing comfort for costumes, but not here). The pipe was particularly well built. The glasses were slightly small and a bit more flimsy (they bent a little to get around my big head) but they're still holding up fine and look cool. Just warning that the cool gold wheel pin can still poke you, even when it's in its safety holder, so you might want to put something on the end of it. This was definitely one of my favorite costume finds and comes with fantastic variety!

It is a perfect costume for the Yacht Rock concerts I like to attend. I am 6’ 187 pounds; I ordered the XL size. It was the right size for me. The epaulettes must be buttoned onto the shoulders; the buttons are a very tight fit. But they can be removed if you wash the shirt. The shirt is long enough to cover the pant belt loops; not meant to be tucked in. The front pockets are real! It is a bit baggy; cut to fit a beer barrel. The shoulders just fit; washing/drying will make them a touch tight. The button holes are poorly sewn and it cannot be unbuttoned without ripping some threads. There is no lasting damage so far. This is not unusual for a costume at this price level. The hat looks good. It has air flow grommets on the sides and plastic tabs on the back for size adjustment. The shirt and hat have several stray threads that need to be trimmed, but the stitching was fine. The tie is pre-tied and uses a zipper to get on/off. The anchor medallion is plastic, but a nice effect. The pipe is very convincing and has weight to it. The glasses are cheap but sufficient for a costume. Overall, the effect is fun, comfortable, and convincing. I look forward to wearing it!

All Aboard! This is a great captain outfit. They have really thought of everything with this outfit. A hat that looks accurate. Sunglasses and a smoking pipe. A white shirt and tie. This really makes you look like a captain of a cruise ship. A very nice set.
