The Harbor Freight Predator 5.5HP replacement engine comes with a 7/8" shaft that extends 2 3/8"This sleeve is 3 in long. You'll have to cut it ( I drew a diagram if that helps). This should not be listed as sleeve adapter for the Predator.Even if you cut the adaptor to the correct length, another potential problem to consider is your existing pulley may not fit over the sleeve. I was replacing the engine on a TORO Recycler Self-propelled mower. The self-propelled mechanism is belt driven and uses a pulley that slides over the engine shaft. It has a 1 in opening, (thus the need for this 7/8 to 1" adaptor.). But the pulley would not fit over this adaptor because the keyways do not match. The TORO pulley has a welded key inside. It will not correctly line up with the keyway on this adapter.

it worked but only after I cut and grinded on it for an hour. I'm using it on the harbor freight predator 5.5hp vertical mounted engine. overall I was satisfied.

Did not fit was way bigger then one inch needed to use sandpaper to get to size

This part didn’t work for me when going from a 1” to 7/8” mower engine crankshaft. I couldn’t use it.

I used this when mounting a harbor freight engine on an older mower with drive pulley on shaft. Worked fine.

Have to decrease the lenght approx 1/2 ".No problem with alteration needed.
