Product received in a timely manner, fit perfectly, successfully installed and worked fine. The one issue had; was the glue supplied was very running (too thin) and made it a little difficult to work with, I would prefer a glue that was a little more viscous.

I was able to install this gasket kit to repair my $400. speakers for a fraction of the cost to replace them. Great purchase. Worked like a charm. Very happy. My 1990 Advent speakers sound great.

...on your hands, you can, and even should, reform those lousy old paper cone Advent speakers.Or, if you want to upgrade that old speaker, you could just buy some 200W 8” replacement speakers for 2x the price of this kit, right here on Amazon, swap them out in 5mins, and have basically new speakers.Or, spend 2 days jacking around with this kit to get that brittle 30 year old paper cone to kind of do its thing again.The choice is yours.

The product was exactly as expected, but the installation is not a simple task and unless you are very careful, you could damage the speaker or impact its performance with a poor installation. So, read the instructions VERY carefully and take your time. It will require a few hours to do one cone correctly. The removal of all the old surround is time consuming but you need to do it right and carefully to not damage the speaker cone. The most delicate part (and the instructions do point this out) is the final alignment of the cone in the structure. Take your time, be careful and do it right. If you end up misaligned, it will cause the cone to rub, which will impact performance and lead to early damage or failure at the voice coil. The costs is high for 2 surrounds, a little glue and instructions, but it is cheaper than buying two new drivers (So there is that). I like not throwing out old parts that can be repaired, so this was good for me! Glad to see restored performance of a good speaker. Thanks. NOTE: I gave this 4 stars for easy to install because it was exactly as the instructions, but it is not an easy process.

Superb quality in foam ring, glue and instructions. If followed step by step, and noting the pictures, you'll have the speaker surrounds installed and cured in 2 days. Take care with the glue as it'll string out spider webs if you are too slow as you pull the tube away from the frame/cone. I called the service number, and got excellent advice from the representative, who was courteous and made sure I understood the repair procedures. This deserves a 6th star.
