These brakes stop. Bought it to put on this ridiculous little razor E90 that I’d been running an over volted 350w in hub motor on. 30mph on a death trap designed for 8 year olds is slightly less terrifying when you have trustworthy brakes. And after running with it for several months now I’ll say that these definitely are. If you’re retrofitting something then just know you’re going to need to either weld, bold or clamp something to the frame to keep the inner hub from spinning but if you're capable of that then I highly recommend. Forceful stopping power that you have some control over, it’s not all or nothing like some disk or electric brakes I’ve experienced. Worth every penny
