Use to align camshafts at TDC during timing belt changes or cylinder head assembly.
Applicable : Audi A4, A6, VW Passat V6 5 Valve 1998-2005 2.8l and 2.7l engines - AHA, ATQ, APB & BEL.
Use to hold / secure both camshafts at TDC posidtion when replacing timing belt.
This pin is used to lock the crankshaft at the position while replacing the timing belt or removing the crankshaft bolt.

This kit works fits perfectly, bar and crank lock A+++ pin tensioner pin needs to be more solid i just used a small nail to keep timing belt tensioner pinned

The bar and crankshaft pin are great. Good quality and sturdy. However, the tensioner pin was thin and weak. It bent so I used a hex key instead. Overall the kit was good where it mattered most.

Can't complain for the price. The bar fit on the cams with a little tension so it wouldn't pop off if bumped. And the crank lock had no play.

Quite a deal for all 3 parts. I mostly needed the crankshaft plug, would have paid $20 alone for it. All 3 parts well made and just what you need when you work on older Audi engines.
