For our 2013 2.0L focus, there was no use for the screw. The red thingy was useful to coax the stretch belt on, but not a precise tool.

Don't buy this crap,only will work for thin wheels not ones with sidewall ribbon front or middle of the wheel. Finally installed my brake vacuum pump on my14 sierra. Dorman replacement., if u need a visual, to understand what I'm referring to. I ended up using a 1/4" x 24" piece of rope.for removal and installation of stretch belt, old school like my uncle taught me. Save your money very limited use for this.
