When you purchase wiper arms for Beetles and Karmann Ghias you have to be careful which side the arms go on. When parked the wiper blade should be parallel or almost parallel with the bottom edge of the windshield. The end of the arm is bent slightly so the blade with be parallel to the bottom edge of the windshield. These blades were labeled on the package the opposite from the way they needed to be installed. the wiper arm on the driver's side is just slightly shorter than the passenge's side so the blade doesn't strike the weatherseal on the left edge of the glass.
