I really like the thickness of these aluminum bars. I am in no way an expert with metal stamping, more of a beginner hobbyist. In the pic above I used a 1.5mm deco font stamp. I tried to go up to as much as 6mm but they just barley fit, going to the edges. I like that these can be used for necklaces, keychains or just ID tags for items, as well as having four sides. I used regular old school metal stamps, so I couldn't tell you how they work with other systems. Overall, very nice, no sharp edges, or metal irregularities.

Each solid aluminum bar has a nice weight and finish. The hole is 1/8" wide, and it leaves about 1 5/16" of workable surface on 2 of the sides. I had no problem using metal stamps on the smooth surface, and I'm happy with the results.I originally ordered these rectangle bars to make small metal keyrings for friends and family. I like them so much, I may make them into necklace charms as well. Plenty of crafting options to choose from...

I usually don't go for aluminum stamping blanks (I much prefer sterling, copper, or brass), but these were just too tempting not to try. Price for what you get -- they're a good deal.A little history on my perspective: I ran a very successful jewelry shop on Etsy for over 10 years, only calling it quits recently, because it took up too much of my time. Metal stamping was a big part of my daily shop tasks, as I sold a lot of fidget spinner rings made using metal stamps.About these blanks: So they're nice size (exactly as described, 1.5 inches long by 1/4 inch thick) with a decent finish. I say decent, because it could be better. They are shiny overall, but there's some surface imperfections (nothing that can't be polished out with the right tools). The long edges are nice and smooth, but the ends where these are clearly cut from square shaped aluminum rods could be better rounded/sanded/polished. These are not difficult things to fix, though, so as long as you aren't against doing a tiny bit of work to make them perfect, these are totally fine. How'd they take stamping impressions? Fantastic! Exactly like you'd expect from soft aluminum. You'll definitely need a steel bench block to get a good impression on these, so don't skip that. I also use a rubber block beneath my steel block for maximum impression with minimum noise. My photos show a test piece I made with the first blank I pulled from the package. Take it as you will. I did NO extra polishing (not yet, anyway -- I will), so this will show you what the finish is like. FYI: I've darkened my stamping with gilders paste wax. These only lose 1 star for the finish. I would definitely buy these again!

I ordered this right after getting my xtool diode laser and was going to try to make some little keychains with it. I soon came to realize that these will not engrave on their own without some kind of etching spray. They came packaged nicely and seem to be of good quality, but I didn't research things thoroughly enough before ordering them.

I’m a beginner and these were super easy to use. My 10 year old was able to make her own key chains as well

I like embossing blanks to use as tags or to make gifts. The ABBECIAO aluminum 3D rectangular prism blanks work perfectly. They are approximately 1.5” x .25 x .25” more less. I have an alphabet set and some embellishment stamps that I can use to hammer on the designs. It doesn’t take much to get a nice impression on them, and they don’t loose their shape either when hammering on them. I’m turning this one I made in the picture into a key ring. However, they could be use do make jewelry too, since they’d work well to make pendants or earrings too. I’d definitely recommend these blanks to other artists.
