I have used another brand of these solar covers since I installed our pool, but it is starting to tear, so I decided to replace it with this one. The first difference I noticed is that this comes folded up in a box rather than rolled up in a tube like my original one. That means once it was opened, instead of just unrolling and installing, I had to try and unfold it. I am hoping a few days in the sun will remove some of the creases. The second thing I noticed is that it is a LOT thicker plastic than the previous one I had. The previous one I had was about the same flexibility as bubble wrap and was almost clear with a blue tint. This is more like posterboard and much opaquer. That should mean it lasts longer but also means it is harder to handle. I take the cover on and off almost daily, so I'm still undecided if the robustness of this cover is worth the extra headache that comes with the thicker material. For someone who doesn't take it on and off daily though, the thicker material is a no brainer. The last difference I noticed was that the "bubbles" on it were much smaller than my previous one. This should be a good thing because it has less space between them.

This is very thick and seems will last long. Easy to spread on pool. Using it in my 12x24 above ground pool and it is enough to keep temperature above 3 to 5 degree. Size of bubble is medium. This solar cover works and will recommend but just choose the bigger size so you can just cut that will really fit in you pool. This is worth it to have.

Excellent Excellent quality!! Major upgrade from last solar cover. Material is thick, not cheap by any means. Bubbles are smaller and a lot more of them. Right out of the box onto the pool, perfect fit just that easy.

The cover was easy to cut down to fit a kidney style pool, and really has helped with keeping a nice temperature in the cool springtime.

Bought 2 packages (24) of these which was the exact amount needed to weigh down the winter cover on my 26x15 above ground pool. I attached the bags directly to the cover grommets using M5 Spring Snap Hook Carabiners and it not only holds it down, but tight and flat enough that the cover shouldn't collect as many leaves as it usually does and they should be easy to blow off. I am not currently using any other method to secure the cover. Today it has been quite windy and the cover is not lifting. We'll wait and see how it fares this fall/winter.

These were so easy to fill and use! Beats having to get and move sand around. Filled with water and used them to weigh down halloween decorations! When done I won't have to haul them somewhere to store or dump out sand. I can just empty the water out where they are! So much easier on the body!!!! I lovethem.
