I am providing this review after receiving this pulse oximeter for a full price rebate. I received the pulse oximeter only two days after ordering it. It arrived in perfect condition. The pulse oximeter included a carrying case, lanyard, and two AAA batteries. It was easy to attach the lanyard and insert the batteries. The pulse oximeter worked immediately without any technical issues. The device holds well to each of my patients’ fingers (I primarily use the left pointer finger) without being uncomfortable. The pulse rate and oxygen saturation readings happen within just a few seconds. The values are easy to read and are consistent. After using this pulse oximeter for a week on the same patients, I would trust it to accurately measure any pulse or oxygenation changes in my patients. If I noted a change in both a visual assessment of my patient and the readings from this pulse oximeter, I would know I need to do a more focused assessment related to the symptoms presented. The pulse oximeter is easy to clean between uses. After using the pulse oximeter, the carrying case works well to protect the screen from damage. The lanyard makes it easy to find in my nursing supply bag or to wear when not in use. This pulse oximeter is perfect for my use in both home health and clinic work. I will be purchasing another as a backup for future use. If you need a pulse oximeter, please give this one a try. You will find it easy to use and read!

Several weeks ago, I suffered a heart attack. I had an angioplasty and have since been recovering. I pretty much need to track all my vitals at home due to the coronavirus even though I'm still seeing physicians via telemed. I have a bluetooth blood pressure cuff, an Apple Watch for my pulse, a Polar heart monitor to more accurately track my heart rate, and to this arsenal, I have the AccuMed CMS-50DL Pulse Oximeter. My GP is concerned that I might suffer from sleep apnea, for which I'm going to be tested shortly, but in the meantime, I want to reassure myself that my blood oxygen level is at least above 95.For a device at this price point, the AccuMed is both functional and accurate. It looks and acts almost exactly as the same device did when I was hospitalized. It starts to take readings almost immediately after putting it on and pressing the button. The digital readout is very clear and the heart rate and oxygen levels are being detected in real time. I have compared my pulse on my Apple Watch to the AccuMed and they read just about the same. The AccuMed comes with a nice carrying case as well as a blue protective cover. The cover isn't really functional and with the carrying case, it might be superfluous. It's just nice to have added protection. The only other feature I would love in a Pulse Oximeter would be bluetooth connectivity. The way this is set up, I have to manually enter my oxygen levels manually into Apple Health. It's a minor thing, but would be nice to have that as a feature in the future.

Very accurate and easy to use. Have used it on many patients now and have had it checked with a ZOLL Pulse Oximeter, same results. Very happy and would recommend.

My mother suffered a blackout, had a bad fall and laceration to her head 2 months ago, with a resulting diagnosis of congestive heart failure. (Her heart stopped long enough to make her black out and fall, and she hit her head on a piece of furniture on the way down, cutting it to the bone.) Fortunately, she is doing better now and is able to stay at home with help. During the period that she fell and we were awaiting diagnosis, I purchased this Pulse Oximeter for home use to monitor her oxygen levels, because they would drop dangerously low at times. The affordable price and good reviews were a deciding factor. I've tested this item against both the equipment used at our doctor's office and by our home nurses, and it matches their readings every time. Can't ask for anything more! The only negative I can comment on is that the little silicone case that comes with it does not fit properly and causes more of a drop risk than anything else, because it slips off the unit. I just keep the unit inside the protective fabric case and on the provided lanyard when not being used.

Review of Accumed CMS 50DL Pulse OximeterI give this four stars because it worked well enough for me to track my O2 blood levels, but could not give five because of various issues I have listed below. I did not give less than four because it clearly gives my O2 level and that is what I needed and purchased it for.I have had no problem using this device and it appears to be accurate. A big plus was the inclusion of two batteries so one can set up and use this right away. None of the following criticism involves the actual worthwhile usage and I am actually glad that I bought this. My need for it is that I have issues with O2 having smoked for 50 years but finally and happily quit three months ago.I will mention a few criticisms I have with this device.Battery cover won't stay shut so had to use a bit of tape. Although it would not remain closed properly, this did not cause the batteries to be loose or cause it to work improperly. The company did send me a replacement battery cover that closes and stays in place properly.Personally I think the directions need to be proof read by a person who speaks english as their FIRST language.Secondly, the basic directions for the lay-person should come first describing the basic use of the device. Then, following that should come the technical specifications etc. geared toward the healthcare professional. The device is obviously designed for the second person to read it, obvious because the directional orientation of the numbers is for someone facing the person using the device. The device reading appear upside down until the person using it turns their hand palm up and bends the finger with device into the palmIt would also be better for the lay person if the Oxygen saturation reading was significantly larger than that of the pulse.
