On the whole it is a good budget set of inserts for lathe tools. I will say, the GTN3 parting insert leaves something to be desired. They seem more delicate than others I have used, and the end can chip off unexpectedly when parting off hardened steel. Other than that, it is a great general purpose set of inserts.
