The accumulator is located between the evaporator and the compressor, and serves to capture and store excess liquid refrigerant. This is a necessary item to replace if an a/c system has been down for some time. It was surprisingly easy to remove the old and replace with this part.

Yes it’s shorter than the original one but that is normal for a replacement item that’s not OEM. Fits good and does what it’s supposed to and still holds the same amount in the system

This is not the same size as the original although the description says it is the correct one for dual(Front/Rear) A/C.

It does it's thing.I bought mine along with compressor 15-22124A. Keep in mind, that his accumulator is specific to Suburbans WITH rear AC. So be careful. There's not much more to say really. It was installed and fit just perfectly. Along with the AC and Condensor Orifice I also replaced, it helps keep my cabin ice cold. It simply does it's thing as it's supposed to.

This ACDelco accumulator installs exactly like the OEM unit which is located in a difficult access position for hose and evaporator connections on GM400 series vehicles. Any slight deviation from the factory original connection points common to off-brand products results in a very frustrating istallation experience. If you are competent in A/C service, you know the necessity for accumulator renewal and system flush together with compressor replacement. Amazon has the best price and customer service for this genuine GM ACDelco part.
