This product is not used to know which direction you are driving, it is only an aesthetic luxury for the car. No matter where it is placed it is always the same, even taking the time to calibrate it it is always the same. It's not worth spending the money on this.

It works fine but the suction cups would be better if they were bigger and/or more concave. I like it because it helps me follow directions that indicate turns with north, south, etc.

You must calibrate yourself. I never took the time to do that. I ended up buying a rear view mirror with internal compass which I love. I wouldn’t recommend this cheap compass.

This compass works well in A car. finding the right location is the hardest part to adjusting it. I tried several locations in my 2008 Camry could not get it adjusted. after 2 daysmoving it around I mounted it just to the right of my radio. this was perfect location for it. reseted the adjustment screws back to factory settings and it is within 3 to 6 degrees of perfect. Just as the instructions say it will be. the size of the compass is just right for this location. 2.24 x 2.24 x 2.28. I adjusted the compass by using my sons boy scout compass and my Ritchie compass out of my boat. I used velcro hook and loop to mount it so it would be easy to remove. I like the way that it keeps balance. its made out ABS plastic. Be sure to read the instruction for the adjustment because just small turns can make a big difference. be patient in location and adjusting and it should work well for you.. I will update this review in a couple of weeks to see how it is doing. 4 stars.

This was a complete joke it never read the right directions I would be sitting in place and it would just move on it’s own
