I don’t know why chevy didn’t put something similar to this in the first place. If you have a hole in your transfer case or want to prevent it, you need this!

Product fits perfect around pump tabs and in case and prevents pump movement better than factory clipHowever factory case half is very soft and very susceptable to damage and any corrosion i ended having to replace the case half for other issues other than problem area dorman makes a very nice upgrade kit

I patched the case with liquid metal then install this adapter. If GM had done their portion correctly there would be no need for this. It is a good product and once the case is split very easy to install.

If you plan to keep your truck for the long haul, it is worth the time to install this plate. Only one specialty tool is needed to remove the transfer case Cover. The total job is a few hours work if you have a lift. Youtube has a number of great videos on doing the repair.

I like this product. It is about as to install as it can be and it will protect my transfer case.

So far the product is working fine. I replaced the entire rear transfer case and installed this item along with it. If this item fails to work, it will probably be a very long time before I ever find out about it.
