We have a metal roof and this works great! Not a perfect fit but the magnets are super strong and stay in place. Even during strong winds.

I have a large pole barn so the profile with the raised ridges won't work very well unless modified. Super strong and well made just not a great fit unless you modify it. Thats the option I took.

I like the quality of the mount so far, will install in near future without the magnets. I am planning on used c track with stainless bolts to attach the mount to the rail. The C track rails will be 3m taped and well nut attached to my Motor home roof. the edges of rail will be sealed with sealant to keep moisture from attacking the 3m double sided tape. This method has worked extremely well on my Solar panels.

Just completed a 2500 mile trip through Nevada, Utah, California and Baja with this on the roof of the truck. It never moved and works perfectly.

put this on the Roof of a Promaster high top and drive down very rough and bumpy dirt roads and 80 mph on the highway and it does not move. The bottoms of the magnets are semi soft so I have not noticed any paint dammge. It works great. I have not seen a difference in speed between having it flat or tilted.

09/08/24 UPDATE: I WAS WRONG!!! It lost it’s grip & I lost my Starlink. Flew off & NARROWLY missed the car behind me. THIS THING IS A LIABILITY!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!I’d return for a refund if it wasn’t a mangled mess on in the middle of the highway! Waste of money & worse yet, a MAJOR safety hazard!!!!!This thing is sturdy. It holds VERY well but there is room for added magnets. I put two extra on & it’s solid at 85MPH plus.I’m a tough critic. This thing delivers.

While I had hoped this mount would work well, the magnets are not "tall" enough to straddle the ridges built into the roof of my 2020 Sprinter Van. I'll have to return the mount!
