I was skeptical but decided to try this instead of replacing my speakers in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It came stock with Infinity Gold sound system. All the speakers in it had foam that was degraded and detached. Took more work but when I reinstalled the speakers they sounded great!

I stumbled on these while shopping for replacement speakers for my '03 Dakota. Never even thought of this as an option, what an awesome alternative compared to replacing the speakers. Gave them a four star rating overall due to the following factors:~ Difficulty finding the right product (kit) for my speakers~ Adhesive was hard to apply and required reworking until it "set", still not confident with proper adhesion~ Seems rather expensive for what you get, the bulk of the value is in the savings over the cost of replacement.Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent alternative to speaker replacement, the downsides relate to my shopping experience and confidence of my workmanship (thier videos are excellent resources to learn the proper methods for successfully repairing speakers with their product). Time will tell if they withstand the test of time and the quality of my workmanship. But I will guarantee you this, if your speakers are as badly aged as mine were (completely separated from frame), using the appropriate replacement repair kit and following the instructions provided (written and online videos), your speakers will sound 99.9% better than they did when you decided something had to be done with the speakers. Cheaper than replacing the entire speaker, and sound quality close to oem new speakers. I'm happy with the outcome, and the savings over replacement!

I bought this kit to replace the four foam rings in my Advent Laureate speakers. The process was easy after I watched the video a couple of times and read through the directions provided. The replacement rings fit well and the included cement set quickly. I was able to repair all four speakers easily and the result is a like-new sound.

My Advent Laureate speakers were no longer useable. Purchased in the mid 80's and the surrounds had deteriorated and disintegrated.... This kit was awesome. Speakers sound as good as the day I bought them. Word of caution. You'll need an Exacto knife. Take your time cleaning and removing the old cement. I spent about an hour on each speaker.

Take your time cleaning off the old foam and create a clean surface. Apply the glue evenly and gently press around the edge with small taps. Keep tapping until the glue starts to harden. Make sure to test that the voice coil is centered while you are gluing the surround.

Foam fit fine around my vintage Advent Laureate speakers, but it is not as easy to cleanly install as it looks on the video. Despite making somewhat of a mess of it I did eventually get them installed and they sound fine to my non-audiophile ears.
