It is soft enough to cut/shape and stay in place even after many trunk opens/closes.Could be used anywhere you need a thick soft sealing material... campers, etc.

I should have read the fine print. The insulation is only 3/8" thick. The photo makes it look much thicker, relative to the diameter of the opening.

I use this to put in my patio sliding door so the cat has a small opening at the bottom to go out on the deck. Works perfect.

looks like regular foam, not epdm. it won't fit around a 3 inch pipe either.maybe 2 inch at the most.

If you are buying this product for anything other than protecting an edge of a hockey rink, then disregard this review. It was not as stiff as I was hoping. Probably awesome for insulating pipes though.
