Purchased this for replacement in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, with the 4.0l & auto. Dropped right in to the HVAC housing. Connected directly to the heater core hoses. And seems to be putting out a good amount heat. My only issue is I still catch a hint of coolant smell. Floor isn't wet, nothing coming out the firewall drain. It's not horrible, and not causing a heating issue. I thoroughly cleaned the housing before installing. Maybe the foam pieces soaked up some of the scent when the original one failed. Either way, it's working and hasn't caused any problems in the 3 months it's been installed.
