They look cool but they are not easy to install at all. I tried tapping the ring with a rubber mallet to get it started but the rings will not fully seat. I just ended up discarding them so I wouldn't damage the chrome. 2023 Toyota Off-Road

Easy blackout upgrade. Perfect fit. Kinda pricey, but no other similar items for less money.

Product description says “easy install”. Definitely not.. Was under the impression that it was a peel and stick and that’s it. The installation video from AJT made it look so. However, when I followed the exact video instruction, it wasn’t sticking at all. It wasn’t until I found another installation video from yotaverse where the guy took out the ac vent itself just to remove the chrome then do the peel and stick. Don’t have time for that. Was really expecting it to be an easy installation. Only way for it to really be a true peel and stick without needing to take out the entire vent is to get thicker adhesive.

These are not as easy of an install as I hoped. My truck is an SR with the SX package. All my vents are already black and don’t have any chrome. I was under the impression these would just be peal and stick on over the existing black rings. they’re not. Dash disassembly, vents permanently damaged, hard to go back if over time they don’t stay stuck on. after seeing the permanent damage I’d have to do to my vents by breaking off tabs and such to disassemble them, I decided against installing these. Thumbs down.

These look significantly better than the chrome rings that came on the stock dash. It is a bit more involved of an installation than simply removing the 3M adhesive and sticking the covers on, but there are plenty of instructional videos and posts available online that explain the process well. I like the aesthetic personally.
