Unit is awesome. I was thinking I might have to MacGyver a drill but it totally wasn't necessary. Worked better than anticipated. Good buy, especially for the price. We'll done.

No instructions, but easy enough to figure out how to assemble from the pictures. One aluminum tube came slightly bent at the end but was able to make it fit.Had to clean threads due to burrs and debris.Very stiff to turn at first- despite lube oozing out of the pump, the drive shaft and wood handle needed lubrication to turn easily.Pumps a great volume per turn, but the build quality is concerning for longevity.

Revised: pump stopped working after pumping 25 gallons of washer fluid, waste of time and monies and I have missed the deadline to send it back, going stright into the garbage and looking for something better.Pump came well packaged, nice light material and not to heavy, easy to assemble and I will be using it to pump windshield washer fluid out of a 55 gallon plastic barrel, the pipes snap together easily and the pump mounting nut is adjustable to height of whatever size barrel one is using, pumps great amount of liquid, the threads for the pump and the neck are super fine so be careful when you put it together, easy to cross thread and ruin the pieces, the treads IMO could be a bit coarser and it will still work just fine, decent pump and a good price also

There are no instructions telling you how to put this together, but it's pretty simple. The suction tube comes in three sections which screw into each other. You can use any or all 3 of them, depending on the size of your container. At the bottom of the last section, you can screw on a plastic filter that will filter out large particulates. There's also an adjustable plastic piece that screws into the bung of the barrel and allows you to set the height of the suction tube. The hand crank is easy to use, but it would be nice to have an arrow or something to indicate which way to rotate it. It takes a little while for the liquid to reach the top of the pump and start flowing but, once flowing, it's a good flow rate. There's an accordion-style plastic hose that, I believe, is used on the discharge end. However, it only slides onto the end and, when liquid is flowing, this piece flies off. There really should be some way to secure it to the end.

After finally digging items out of pkg’g, With NO instructions, finally got it together. Item does not fit well at all into a 5 gallon bucket and would up having to tip bucket to get crank handle to turn, thus spilling contents of oil every where. This item would best work on a ten-fifty gallon can.
