After reading the reviews I was prepared to possibly get different colors than what was listed but I thought I'd take chance. I did end up getting different colors but it worked out for the best for me. I was wanting Oatmeal and I got that in place of Salt Buff and they swapped Albany Slip for Textured Amber Brown which is actually the color in the picture. In the end, I got all the colors I wanted plus a bonus color I wanted and I'll say the ones that were traded out were at least similar.

Love the glazes. They are great quality. However, one problem I had, it came shipped with one of the glazes opened and drained a little all over.

I think this is a great price especially if you you use a lot of Glazes. The variety is great and allows you to try a lot of different colors and you can try colors out. One issue with my box that I received, 2 of the glazes that were unusable and when I called to complain they sent me a new box but it wasn't the same set. And not sure the 2 glazes that were the original bad were also bad again. I know this isn't Amazons fault and they are always eager to help. I can't risk using bad glazes on my work. I think its best to get this box if you're a student and not a professional. Other than my comments. As I said its a good deal.

its a good color assortment. your results will vary based on how thick you apply, what color ware you put it on, how hot the firing goes too..... but these colors layer up so well! you can come up with so many great looks by layering a bit here and there and let them blend away. buying the set saves money on getting 6 separately. only one had its foil top broken open and a bit leaked out, not bad for stuff that is shipped and UPS can drop stuff.

I received blue rutile, temmoku, shino, smokey merlot as stated in the description. But I also received oatmeal, and textured amber instead of the other 2 glazes from the Amazon description. The glazes I received are what is described in Amaco literature for their Potter's Choice Class Pack No1. I haven't used them yet, but they seem to be in good condition.

This is an inexpensive way to try new glasses. 5 of them were good on my cone 6 Pottery 26 when did not come out well at all. But that's the same thing you would get if you bought it from the store only you would pay more and you have to drive to get there. The Smokey Merlot turned out quite interesting I never would have gone with a purple if I was picking them out individually at the store. Worth a try. Look to the website for the best ways to use each individual glaze.

If you read and follow the instructions on Amaco's website, you'll fall in love with the results and the limitless possibilities these glazes offer. If you're pig-headed, and don't take the time to familiarize yourself with the correct application techniques, you'll be disappointed. The results you achieve depend on the level of effort you invest in learning how to properly apply and layer these glazes. It's up to you.The yunomi and sake set are Laguna's Electric Brown (cone 5-6) bisqued to 04. Yunomi has 3 coats of Smoky Merlot with two coats of Blue Rutile layered over it. Sake set has three coats of Temmoku. All were fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln, with no soak and no controlled firing down.

i bought these because in the description text on Amazon it is referred to as a low fire glaze. At the time I was going back and forth between glazes and browser windows and I decided that I needed "the low fire one" of those I was looking at. I caught that and ordered these, but I can't use them because my clay is Amaco #25 low fire clay, cone 06-05 and these are cone 5/6. Not a big deal, I've got some medium fire clay as well. Though I haven't used it yet, from reviews I've read since, having to research the possibility of using it with low fire clay (you can't), it is well liked glaze.
