Warm Tips

1. A small amount of lubricant has been added to the gears at the factory, but the amount of grease is not large enough for ease of transportation. It is recommended that both the differential gears and the main gears be lubricated before use.

2. The Portal axle is mainly for crawling and off-road performance, although we use high-strength steel in the drive axle, the axle may also be broken when the super-rapid steering, please do not treat it as a racing car!

3. Because the drive shaft of the mini RC cars like SCX24 are usually slender, prolonged high speeds and intense crawling may lead to shaft fractures. This is a normal phenomenon we hope to be understood, and it is advisable to be prepared with a few spare shafts.

These things are amazing. They look better, feel better and perform better than any of the more expensive portals I’ve seen or owned!

I ordered a set for my Axial scx24, as others mentioned the screws are way over tightened by the factory. Once I have them installed I took it to the indoor track. Almost immediately after I turned the batteries on and pushed the throttle trigger I lost a rear wheel. Upon inspection the axle shat itself has sheared off just past the threads. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND, I HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY ASSISTANCE AND WILL BE ORDERING NEW AXLES FRON ANOTHER MANUFACTURER.

This is only an initial review, as I have not actually run my truck with these axles yet, but given the other negative reviews, I wanted to set the record straight. These appear to be very high-quality. I’ve had no trouble installing them. The steel gears inside the hubs Are mashed well. I have only had two issues. One was that I used the existing ball and screw from the deadbolt rear shock, and it snapped as I was trying to screw it in. Hopefully I will be able to get it out. I would recommend using one of the steel screws ahead of time at a good angle to help cut the threads to prevent this kind of issueThe other one is that the wheel axle on the right front appears to be missing. The dog bone is hanging loose and could fall out.Maybe some quality control issues but as far as quality, it seems very high. I’ve ordered a replacement and will update once I have it installed and get a chance to run it.

I have about 12 SCX24's. For whatever reason I love them and I love building them. Ive used everything from Injora to furitek and all in between. Id have to say though that this is about the best portal axle set youre going to get especially at this price point. Let me roll into some pros/consPros:-Best high end portal axle set at this price point-Pre-greased!-Correctly Threaded (cheaper sets have poor threading and youll break screws)-Super heavy-Very nice fit and finish-Plug and play use for any scx24 version-Well machined wheel weights (most are offcenter and not really round)Cons:-Somewhat of a no-name manufacturerAll in all these are nearly my favorite portal axles for my rigs outside of the ridiculously expensive Little racers ones that are north of 200 for the pair. They fit great, are threaded well, well balanced and are truly plug and play with them being pre-greased (this is rare FYI)

They’re decent for the price I paid. There are bearings in the portals but a lot of the system rides off the brass casing of the portal causing shavings every so often.

SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A REAL (quality) AXLE SET PEOPLE!!!!I actually ordered 2 full kits for 2 separate Axial crawlers and on the first install, the front axle/dogbones bound so bad upon steering input, you couldn't turn... Only go straight. On the second truck I installed another independent order of these ported axles thinking I got a bad order, WELL..... The second order sucked worse than the first!!! Not only was the front steering issues still present, but... The rear axle kept locking-up to the point I burnt out my 2 WEEK OLD Axial C-10 motor installing these axles on my truck ;(YOU COULDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE A WORSE ALXE SET! ALL 4 AXLES WERE RETURNED.
