About this item

  • Street tee with three openings for connecting and branching three pipes with different ends
  • Female and male NPT threads on the main run and female NPT threads on the branch for connecting three threaded pipes
  • Brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability
  • These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.

This Anderson Metals 06127 barstock street tee is a brass pipe fitting with two 1/2" male NPT threaded connections and a 1/2" female NPT threaded connection. The street tee is a T-shaped fitting with three openings used to connect and branch three female and male pipes, two on the main run and one branch at a 90-degree angle from the middle of the tee. Pipe dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. "A" and "B" indicate the main run on the fitting, and "C" indicates the branch. It has female and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on either end of the main run and female NPT threads on the branch outlet for connecting to three threaded pipes. The NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. Brass can be connected to copper, brass, plastic, aluminum, and welded steel.

Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).

Anderson Metals manufactures brass fittings, valves, and pipe nipples. The company, founded in 1951, is headquartered in Kansas City, MO.

I never feel judgement shopping here =].The fitting worked as planned because it was exactly as advertised. Not some random photo of a similar product. What you see is what you get.i needed a fitting deep enough to house a manual temp gauge pickup. The images showed me that without digging through poorly organized bins or dealing with more adult children. The last time I went to the hardware store, I left empty handed and disappointed.Thank you Amazon.

This tee is very heavy built, perfect for my 150 psi air system on my truck. The brass construction is a plus since the tee is exposed to the elements. I run multiple horns and airbags using my air system so reliability is a must.

I combined two Amazon-purchased 1/2-inch NPT tees to form a 4-port manifold in the hot water recirculation line, for pressure meter and overpressure relief valve. The tees were –Homyl 1/2" Thickened Brass Male Male Female Tee Fitting Connecting Joint T-Junction 3 Way - B07D4HR822... and ...Anderson Metals 06127 Brass Pipe Fitting, Barstock Street Tee, 1/2" NPT Female x 1/2" NPT Male x 1/2" NPT Female Pipe - B00D3CVU5GThe Anderson tee’s female threads accepted male brass fittings without any (leakage) problems. The flexible hoses, with their rubbery inserts, of course attached leak-free to the Homyl tee. But, the mating of the Anderson male thread into the Homyl female thread (after multiple tries with increasing layers of teflon tape, and finally even with that tape plus Oatey Great White® Pipe Joint Compound With PTFE, STILL LEAKS. Very slow, but unacceptable. Even expelled a dab of the Oatey compound. The photo shows that there are essentially no exposed threads at that junction, which seems to indicate that either (1) the Homyl female thread is too large in diameter and/or not tapering, or (2) the Anderson male thread (visibly tapered) may be undersized.I am leaning toward the Homyl’s female threads as being the problem here, since the Anderson’s female threads are just fine.

After spending a good part of the morning plumbing my shop for air, I was surprised to find that the only leak was the nipple installed at the factory, connecting the filter/separator and the regulator. After un-turning the 5 fittings to separate the unit from the wall, I've removed, taped and tightened the fitting and reinstalled...now it's leak free. Good product, just surprised that they wouldn't do a better job ensuring that the factory fittings are leak free.
