Pretty good 8 strand Polyethylene braided line. Box suggests for spinning reels, but perfectly fine for bait casters as well.Braid is a different style of line than what a lot of us grew up with. For the rated strength, it's MUCH thinner than monofilament (that clear line stuff), and casts a LOT further. There are things to be cautious with, although braid generally offers excellent tensile strength, it's not a forgiving line. There's hardly any stretch to this, which gives you amazing tactile feel of your lures/baits. But, braid is not very abrasion resistant--rubbing up against rocks to branches can shred the line very quick. If you have damage, cut the damage away, don't count on a compromised braid line. So, there are some of the merits and pitfalls of braid, you'll need to decide for yourself if you like using it. As far as braids go, and this particular brand--it's a good quality braid. The one I got happens to be pink, which is highly visible. Color doesn't matter for most fish, and is generally more appealing to the angler, so whatever YOU like in colors. This spool of 300yards is quite a bit, and if planned well, you can outfit 2 or three small to medium sized reels. If you're not familiar with braid, there's a learning curve to it, so be sure to watch some videos online. I like to use a backing that takes up space and saves me from using a TON of braid on a single reel. I also use a leader of the classic mono line, to give a little protection against rock abrasions. There are generally 4 strand, 8 strand and even 12 strand braids nowadays. In most cases, I'll pick the 8 strand every time. Very smooth casting, lots of strength and doesn't bind as much. 12 strand is pretty much those who want the latest and understand why they want 12 strand. 4 strand is a bit dated anymore, but in the right circumstance, a fine choice.

I’ve been using the Pink PE Braided Fishing Line on several recent trips, and I’m really impressed. The color is not just fun—it’s practical. The bright pink stands out well against the water, which makes it easy to track my line and detect subtle movements. Performance-wise, it’s excellent. The braid is tightly woven and incredibly strong for its diameter. It casts smoothly with minimal friction and doesn’t fray or snap under pressure, even when pulling in larger catches. Knot strength has also been very reliable. I also appreciate that it doesn’t hold water and dries quickly, unlike some cheaper braided lines. It works well for both freshwater and saltwater applications. Overall, a great choice if you want a dependable braided line that’s both durable and easy to manage—plus, the pink adds a nice personal touch!
