My old compressor seized so I replaced it along with every other component of my AC system except for the evaporator and refrigerant lines which I did my best to clean out any metal shavings from. (New Compressor, Condenser, Accumulator/Dryer, Orifice Tube, Pressure Sensor, O-rings, and recommended refrigerant oil for the new parts). I then pulled a vacuum and professionally recharged the system with 24oz of R134A. My A/C now blows nice and cold and has been working great for a few months now. Note: this particular GM design of compressor doesn't handle high RPM very well so you have to be careful that you don't run high RPMs while the AC is running or else you'll seize it prematurely like I did to my old one
