I bought and used this line as the OEM ones are discontinued and awfully expensive. For some reason the aftermarket doesn't make the "return line" and only the pressure, which this line is. It's about half the price of the OEM unit but I still had to buy the OEM line for the return side. This aftermarket line while completely correct with regard to fitment and even operation (so far) it is advertised as being "steel" as the OEM line is but unfortunately that's not true at all. The line and even the crimps for the rubber hose are all aluminum. Heck if you put both lines side by side it's fairly easy to tell by the color. If you're unsure stick a magnet to it, it won't stick to any part of this aftermarket line.So now I have one aluminum line and one steel line. I guess the AL one will be a little less susceptible to corrosion and is a lot lighter than OEM but the AL one is also a lot softer and I worry about the AL crimps on the hoses but I do know many vehicles are using AL line these days for fuel, oil and other things so I hope it works out,Still, I am not happy that it's quite clearly advertised as steel but there's absolutely no steel in any part of it for $60 for a single line. It's also made by Sunsong by-the-way for any interested.Lastly, this line will be a perfect fit for a 2005 Dakota V8 2WD with 545RFE trans. but you can decide if you want an aluminum one advertised as steel or an OEM steel one.

This line does not fit a Chrysler Dodge Dakota 4x4 its too short and line ends are in opposite direction and line to short. This line is for Front wheel drive only.

If you replace this line yourself it can be a pain unless you know what your doing. Fit perfect and quality is great.
