Three months ago when I purchased my first replacement latch, I thought I did a good job. A month later when it broke, I replaced it with the exact same item. I don’t remember how many days it was until I had to replace that one after that one broke, but I chose a different latch, this one.This particular latch is more durable, feels more solid, and even though it does have plastic on it, it doesn’t feel cheap. Also, it came in a very impressive cardboard box unlike any of the other latches.After I installed the latch, I was extremely cautious when closing the trunk. This probably stems from how the other latches sounded when I closed my trunk. At first they wouldn’t latch and after they did latch, it sounded like I stepped on a carton of eggs.However, if I could go back in time to before I bought any of the latches and I saw this one I would have told myself to buy this latch now and I would’ve saved myself a lot of pain and aggravation. Hope you can do the same.

Compared to most other things you buy, this seems like a real value for a well made, complex product.
