My koi hate this food. They take it snd then spit it out. Very disappointing. Not worth the money.

If your koi don’t hand feed…. They will. This stuff should come with a free taste and triple the price for the second hit. They love this stuff.

These are way too expensive, but wanted to train my large koi to eat from my hand and I couldn't think of anything that would entice them while they built up courage. The fish food I use to feed them is way too small for them to notice when I tried using it and introducing other foods seemed to confuse them. These treats are big enough that the fish can see them clearly extending from your fingers and they have enough of a fish food aroma that I believe the fish can smell that they are familiar food.It took just a few sessions for my fish to tame to hand feeding using these treats, and a couple of the koi have become shameless beggars, popping out of the water with their mouths flapping at me. I'm pretty glad they can't vocalize. Like I said, these are too expensive, but I am on my second order because I love the new connection I have with my fish that I have had for over a decade. I just give them a few each evening before their dinner meal to make the container last longer. I'll thing about finding other less expensive treats, but for now these are pretty convenient and I sure enjoy feeding my fish. I'd give them 5 stars if they were more reasonably priced.

I was skeptical my koi would actually eat these from my hands...but they do!!! :) I have had 39 medium to large koi for almost 10 years. I am totally new to hand-feeding. The first few days I just threw a few sticks in to the pond to get the fish used to eating these things. Fish weren't too interested at first, but gained interest as days went on. Then I tried holding one in my hand a few inches below water, waiting for a fish to come nibble. My leader fish (every pond has a brave and friendly fish who is the leader fish) came and took it! At first it took her about 10 minutes to come take it from me. After a week she comes over almost immediately. Other reviewers said that as soon as one fish starts eating from your hands, the rest will follow. Still waiting for that to happen, but it's only been about 10 days. I am loving hand-feeding the fish!!! I also like the size of these b/c they are pretty big...about as big as a cheeto. That is nice b/c I was scared at first to put my hand in the water and get bit, but these things are pretty big and large. My fingers don't get nibbled when my fish takes this from me. Enjoy!
