I usually like Aquila strings, but it was interesting that when I came to restring my 8-string ukulele, the supplied (non-wound) low g snapped while I was tuning it up., In the past I've always used Aquila wound low-gs and never had a problem. It could have been me, or it could have been the string. I've now used a replacement wound low-g again, Aquila, and that's worked fine.I thought it would be interesting to restring using the 8 pack but to be honest, I think I'll just do individual strings going forwards. Low c might be an issue though...

I have been using them for years on my uke. They are nice sounding strings. There are others like the Worth strings that sound a tad bit brighter but for wear and longevity these are my go to strings.

I hate having to give these a bad review. I'm on my 4th set of these ordered from Amazon, and the 1st set to come with this awful all-nylon red low G string. This string is garbage. Its hard to tie and tune and it sounds like crap. I imagine they saved production costs by not including a wound string, who knows. I dug my old wound string out of the trash instead of fighting with this low quality trash string they've switched too. Fortuneately, there are other manufacturers starting to make 8 string sets. The rest of the strings are fine, they haven't been downgraded. Thats why this is a 2 star and not 1 star review. You get 7/8ths of a set.By the way, you can safely ignore the reviews about the strings snapping when changed. These reviewers don't know how to change a nylon string instrument; it's user error.
