When I relocated the alternator to the right side of the engine for the 350 engine swap into a Chevy S-10 none of the stock-type belt tension adjusters would work. I fabricated a tensioner from stock on hand but was never happy with it. I was glad to finally have found this purpose-built piece that not only does the job but looks attractive too.One side note: I had to shorten the overall length slightly. If the manufacturer had used true jam nuts instead of regular nuts I think this could have been avoided. Overall very happy
