Ordered this (3) Pack of ARROW - 8" Tin Snips for Cutting Metal Sheets - CR-V Steel Aviation Snips for Multiple Cutting Materials - for my shop/garage building rehab. I've been remodeling the inside of my shop/garage and updating electric, walls, and lighting and finishing up with it. I've also had plans to add colored metal roofing and siding on the exterior of the building to make it all look new. Recently while shopping online for some conduit, fittings, and exterior trimming, I saw this nice (3) pack of tin snips in the 8" size and they come with (3) different angle cutting edges.I started reading about how their made and designed, and the styles, and ordered them for my exterior metal project siding/roofing. These are made of very good quality grade aviation steel material. I really like the quality as it shows all over them. They are very sharp with serrated edges and cuts thru tin, metal, copper, pvc, and even heavier sheet metals. I like the curved jaw design as one is left cutting and the other is for right cutting/trimming. It also came with the straight pair for easy straight cuts. I had an old cheap box store pair that was very rusty and wouldn't hardly ever cut any type of metal, even thin material. I must say that I'm impressed by not only the quality, but the cutting is a breeze with either of these. I like the ergonomic comfortable grips and also that each pair have a separate built in swing lock to keep them safe from getting damaged or myself getting cut. These are the perfect size for my hands.I used these to cut 27 gauge metal on my roof & siding for surrounding vent pipes and conduit wiring pipes.They cut thru all of it like hot butter and it was easy too!. I like the smooth hard steel polished steel material and the spring loaded handles makes the job easier. The brand says a lot for the quality and the great (3) pack value pricing.I know these will certainly last me a lifetime. These easily earn a (5) star rating in my opinion

Nice overall heft and comfortable handles. Tested on some medium gauge welded wire fencing material, and blades are nice and sharp. I wasn't able to get a flush cut with the angled snips, but that *may* be user error.Deducting one star because as soon as I released the safety clasp on one set of snips, I was unable to get it back into position. The other two operate fine however. Personally, I prefer keeping the safety clasps engaged during storage and transport for handler safety, as well as to protect the blades, so this is an unfortunate (although somewhat minor?) issue in my mind.

The 3 Piece Tin Snip Set was purchased for general use during leased property maintenance including ductwork, gutters, flashing and metal siding. Comments following review and light use:1. Tin Snip Set was received well packaged in a set of 3 with left, right and straight Cutters as advertised.2. Out of box it was noted all 3 items are fairly heavy in weight, which is appreciated as weight usually translates to quality with hand tools.3. Metal and plastic/TPR components appear to be of very good quality and are well manufactured/assembled - Impressive.4. Lengths measure around 8" which is 1"-1.5" shorter than other competing snips - appreciated as this will allow access into space restricted locations while still providing great performance.5. All appear to open wider - handles and cutters - when compared to competing snips.6. Handles are comfortable, grip well and have typical finger stops to assist correct side up/down.7. Snips all have cut direction indicators using painted arrows, embossed L/S/R initials in metal cutters, and unique handle colors for each.8. All have hook locks for storage/safety and handle loops for hanging.9. Blades are serrated, sharp and close with a very tight tolerance (no wobble at hinge) for entire blade lengths to ensure continuous cuts - Very Nice.10. Springs are very heavy and strong which again can be an indicator of quality as well as go9d durability and longevity.11. All 3 snips were used to modify several downspouts - very, very good performers - sharp, accurate and easy to maneuver/handle. Have been using Straight cutters for years and now remember how much easier directional cuts can be using Left and Right tools.Form, Fit and Function are Great for all 3 tin snips and these tools are suitable for heavy commercial use if desired - robust product. Value is also Great at the $39.99 price point, or slightly over $13 apiece - very competitive especially with the shown quality. A very easy 5 Star rating and highly recommended.
