It looks and feels really amazing. Attention to detail is impressive. It even includes a little brass insert through the ‘chamber loaded’ indicator slot to make it appear more like a real firearm. The grip panels work great and are easy enough to use. The sights take some getting used to, but that’s just how it is even with real firearms changing sight styles around. Slide removal is just like a real firearm and is rather easy to do.In hindsight I do wish it was green gas instead of CO2. I’ve had a lot of green gas GBB starting way back in ‘99 and I’ve always liked the performance over CO2. So why did I get this one? Because it looks really nice and is basically a little different from anything else we currently have so why not.I do not like the way the magazine floor plate operation is designed. You must slide it open to access the hex plate to load and unload CO2, which is just fine. The problem is that the plate slides over to a secondary latching hole, but at this point you cannot access the hex(6mm) fully. You must slide the plate past this hole a little, which then negates the good use of it latching in the hole to keep you from dropping the plate. Thankfully the follower and spring are retained so they don’t go flying. Clearly the hole needed to be moved just a little further in order to allow full access to the hex, so a little work with a bastard file elongated it enough. Hopefully my pictures show this well if my words did not. There is also a smaller inset hex which I find weird. It’s not very deep so your hex key needs to be very square in the corners and not rounded or a ball type. I found that 9/64” seems to fit, which is odd since the main hex is 6mm. I tried a 4mm but it won’t fit. The smaller hex key will fit through the hole in the floor plate allowing operation without moving the floorplate out of the way. But given the difficulty of fit and shallow nature of the inset I’d feel better just using the larger hex. Oh and you don't need a tool to poke through the mag plate hole to slide it over. The base of the follower spring has a notch to grab with a fingernail, that took me way to long to notice.Loading the CO2 and loading BBs was easy enough as one would expect it to be. I was able to get twenty-two BBs in the mag, but any more is basically not possible. And general operation is great. Blowback is crisp and it’s fairly accurate within reason to twenty-five yards. Testing over a chronograph I saw roughly ~258FPS repeated velocity in ~72F ambient environment. This of course is going to be affected by increased or decreased temperatures along with rapid fire. During rapid fire it was easy to get off about five to six shots that sounded like they maintained power, after that it became notable that there was a drop. I also was able to get about four mag reloads out of a cartridge. Unfortunately I kept losing count after the second mag because I was having fun.Overall I think it’s a really nice GBB for the price!

This ASG Steyr L9-A2 Blowback Airsoft CO2 Pistol and Magazine has realistic look and feel. The slide action and the magazine drop and insertion feel like the real thing. However, The Fed mandated red barrel tip ruins the whole effect. I knew that the red tip was on the pistol before I ordered it, so I shouldn't complain. It appears to be unremovable without damaging the barrel and it is probably illegal to do so, anyway. When firing the pistol it seems to be very accurate within 30 feet and the slide action is cool. I like this ASG Steyr L9-A2, even with the red tip.

I've long wanted an airsoft pistol as a training tool, and for entertainment. I've also wanted to try out the Steyr L9, so this is a cool way to get several things at once. The pistol looks and feels really nice, and very close to a real pistol. The texture of the grip and controls are great, and the trigger is quite nice for an air gun. The gun is heavy enough to feel realistic, and the magazine also has sufficient weight that it drops free easily and realistically. Firing is a ton of fun, with decent accuracy, and a cool pop noise to go with the reciprocating slide. With a fresh co2 cartridge it has enough power to put holes in an aluminum can, and it gets a decent number of shots per cartridge. more than two full magazines worth, so 40+ shots. Maybe 50? I think it depends on how much you loose when installing the cartridge. My only real gripe with this is that when reloading you have to hold a little spring loaded slider back, and the button to do so is quite small and slick. If they'd just designed this with a little more to get my finger on, reloading would be so much easier. Oh well, it's not terrible, and everything else is well made.I'm not a huge fan of the triangular sights, but that's not the fault of the company, as it's a faithful reproduction of the original pistol.Overall this is a ton of fun, a great training tool, and cheap to run once you have the pistol.

This is a well made pistol and feels very much like a regular L9. Great for cheap practice and also a fun pistol to take airsofting. Build quality is excellent and the included magazine works flawlessly.

The gun itself is a beauty, solid and with the white tip sighting, the grip that's phenomenal! I still have to do some accuracy tweaks but the pistol is solid, except for the magazine. The magazine is only good for 2 & a half cycles, which is terrible! So one CO2 cartridge is only good for 2 & a half magazines. That's really the only downfall, for the price it should be $20-$30 cheaper than it is because of magazine deficit. Overall it's a decent pistol, but that's all I can say.

It is really cool how it locks and loads the magazine. You can also pull back and check the chamber. It has a good weight and comftorable pistol grip. The sights are cool too and easy to see.

This is my first airsoft pistol and I have to say I am really impressed. The bottom half is polymer and the grip has good feeling stribling. The slide is actual metal and overall the pistol has the weight and feel of a real pistol. The mag drops out like a normal pistol and holds your CO2 and 6mm BBs. When you hit the release the mag pops out just like a real empty mag. I live in Mississippi so I can have most any actual pistol I would like (and do) but if you were not someplace that allows that you could purchase this and get a close as you can. If all airsoft from this company is this well made I think I will start collecting them too. I can even put a laser/light on the rail up front. It gives me the ability to practice holster draws and FIRE! Well worth the money.
