I had to remove the steering wheel from my tractor so I could replace the rubber dust cover. So I viewed a You Tube video on removing a steering wheel and this is what he used to do it. It worked GREAT.

If you do any serious machine repair, or car repair, you need a puller set like this.Works especially well for "blind" pulling of bearings, gears, and pulleys where you can't easily get behind with a regular jaw puller.

This is a good puller for homeowner/ medium duty work. I needed it to pull bearings in an electric pool pump motor. For less than the price of a new motor, I bought new bearings, the puller set, and still saved money and now have tools and bearings for next time.

First use, removing a small 1 5/8" saw arbor bearing, the double threaded jaw clamping studs striped their threads. They were made from butter rather than steel, and they were under size for their intended nominal 10 x 1 mm by enough that a new nut seemed like it could ALMOST be pushed over the threads without turning. After investing another $15 on a piece of 125,000 psi rod from a national fasten(al) company it works properly, but I could have found a higher quality set for the total dollars invested. That's not taking into account what will be needed for the bigger jaw set.I do give credit (that's why two stars) for the jaws and pulling yoke being good quality.

Total and complete junk! Luckily they are no longer available from Amazon so no one else will get suckered into buying these kits. Tried to remove a axle seal landing on a Toyota Sequoia. Ha! Not a chance. with the jaws of the largest separator firmly hooked behind the spacer the threaded bar simply snapped as soon as light pressure was applied. Round 2, with supplied threaded bar replaced with 2 high tensile US made bolts I was able to apply light to moderate pressure before the jaws of the separator simply curled out of the way and simply slid off the spacer. These kits have all the tensile strength of silly putty. Probably made from the melted down hood ornament of your Father's Oldsmobile.
