Well we put the parts on and my water heater doesn’t work. It’s past 30 days and can’t return it. So I’m stuck with it.

We got this because our RV water heater was not working and this was cheaper than the board. We just left it in after having to buy the board to get the propane working again. I doubt that the original one was bad but in repairs you always start with the simplest first.

It was a perfect replacement part for my hot water heater. No misfires and hot water heater is back to perfect propane hot water making. Next is to repair the electric heat portion of the RV water heater. These two repairs equipment cost saved me over $700.00 over the cost of a new hot water heater for my RV. I believe if I can perform these two repairs most anybody can do the same!

My Atwood water heater #G6A-8E stopped firing. Had gas flowing, but no spark, or insufficient spark. Then would shut down. When I used a small lighter - (barbecue style) and flipped the heater switch, the heater fired and ran well, but just wouldn't restart.Some questions were posted asking if this would fit the above model, and it did. This part was the exact match for the one I had.Igniter should have installed in minutes, but the tapping screw that came with the igniter was too big for the mounting hole (on the part), couldn't tap into the stainless mounting bracket. I finally used a 8-32 tap and a machine screw and that did the trick.
