As described by seller. 3.5 FARAD is strong enough to handle 3500 watts well above your average aftermarket sound system. My peak wattage is 2000 so I could always add on. In my opinion this helps save the life of your battery and alternator.

After about a week and a half The Capasitor dead shorted almost took out my whole car. Thank God It was in my street/race car and I had a battery shut off.. dead shorted melting wiring and fuses as it traveled. I noticed by my dash lights going crazy bright and everything else going crazy. That wasnt intended for that car but thank god I did use it there. no other car has a quick battery disconnect.
