These were installed with fresh pads on a MKX. They were fine initially, but at around 10k miles they developed a minor amount of vibration on light braking. Now at 12k they’re pulsing heavily when braking at lower speed and will need to be replaced. The brakes have never been abused or subjected to anything other than normal, mature driving. I expect a lot better from something as simple as a brake rotor. The really sad thing is that getting them resurfaced, now that virtually nobody turns rotors anymore, costs more than replacement. Used to be a $15 bit of maintenance where you could drop off a set of rotors at a local shop and pick them up a couple hours later. Now there’s only one national chain that still offers resurfacing at $70/pair with a 4-5 day turnaround time.
