I liked the way the tripod was designed but it was damaged when I received it, so there for I didn't get to use it at all.

I bought this for my crossbow, to match my Tenpoint TX440. It sucks, see below:TLDR Version: Buy another option, but see why you shouldA: when trying it out of the box, one of the three legs wouldn’t hold its place. I had to get a wrench to tighten the clamp so it would actually do its job. Not a big deal, but annoying when you pay so much for something that you have to tweak after quality control failed leaving the manufacturer.2: After fixing the leg that wouldn’t stay in place, the ball joint of the platform that holds the crossbow(gun), doesn’t stay in place, regardless of how hard you tighten it up. If the clamp and platform that holds the weapon is not steady, what’s the point of using one? (I adjusted several times and it always moves out of square)D: Despite me tightening up every movable part on the unit, it still feels like parts are moving and cheaply made.On a slightly unrelated note, I ordered a new bow from a Tenpoint retailer and received a defective bow. I returned the bow, after talking to both the retailer and Tenpoint. Even though Tenpoint made the bow, they didn’t sell it, but made every effort to fix the issue. I don’t think they or the seller of the stand would be able to fix the issues I have with this defective product. I would recommend researching other options for sighting in/using your weapon of choice.Also, Tenpoint needs to upgrade the feet to a wider base, compared to the “fine toothed comb” of their current setup on the bottom of the legs. When used in the field, the legs sink into the dirt with the sharp tipped pegs that come standard. It would work best, how it comes out the box, on rock/concrete not soft ground, IMO.

The product is a nice tripod. Really an 3.5 rating. Only hick up is the tightening know is not beefy enough and get be stripped easily if you bear down to tight. If wasn’t for this probably would be 4.5-5 start . Think this is a serious flaw and would make it a very nice product if was beefy or more stronger.

This product is multifunctional and very durable so if you’re looking for a hunting support platform that you can with your cross bow, rifle and or flashlight while your cooking at night than this item is for you. Again I used this item opening weekend of deer season and is a must. I am very satisfied with this product.

For shooting while seated in a blind, this tripod is great! It is very sturdy, even with a .308.I will say that I don't love the clamp style head that it came with so I replaced it with an Arca head. Doing so was very easy and is a great upgrade

This is a solid tripod with tech borrowed from professional photography. It has all the good stuff from the best camera tripods adapted for shooting. Dialing a scope on a crossbow? No problem. Grouping shots from a 30-06? Will do.This shooting tripod is designed to use in the prone or sitting position as it's not quite tall enough for standing. It's gets low when shooting prone and quite high when sitting.The standout feature is the ball head that uses a threaded knobs to tighten or loosen the tension in all directions. It seems to hold all of the weight of the heaviest gun I own which happens to be a scoped Marlin 30-06. The clamp has plastic surfaces that grip the stock firmly without marring any surfaces. It adjusts with a threaded knob that has spring tension.The legs each have one section that extends in a fully variable length to adjust for terrain. Additional adjustments can be made with threaded feet that give another 2 inches of height. If you need to shoot from prone position there are tabs that you pull up to allow the legs to pull out further to offer the most stable setup. Before setting the legs in this position you must remove the accessory bag that is attached to the legs.The weight of the tripod is not exactly the lightest when compared to carbon fiber, but I'm reviewing an aluminum tripod here. I'd say that thisbis extremely light for an aluminum tripod this stable. The legs are stiff when fully extended and appear to be constructed well.If you're looking to increase the accuracy of your new crossbow, gun, or new glass, pair it with this tripod and you'll be hitting tight groups in no time. Highly recommended.I hope this information has been helpful to someone 🙂
